These 18 Brands Of Lipstick Are Full Of Cancer-Causing Heavy Metals

Lipstick

Women pay a lot of attention on the first impression and their appearance. Lipstick is one of the most common ways that women use for their look. The companies related to skin care and makeup product are in the type of business that makes billions of dollars per year.

All of the companies release new products without mandatory testing because the government of United States has not listed those tests as required and obligational.

So what if you are avoiding toxins in the food and the product that we commonly use in the home when we poison our body with the make-up we put on.

Have you thought to check the labels of the make-up as you regularly check the food labels? The most common product like: shampoos, deodorants, lipstick and many other personal care products usually are not put on the required testing and lots of them even don’t list all of the ingredients that are in.

When it comes to chemicals they cannot be only ingested but also can be absorbed by the skin. So how many times you have put some lipstick today?

Heavy Metals In Your Makeup

“Heavy Metal Hazard: The Health Risks of Hidden Heavy Metals In Face Makeup.”  It is a report conducted by Canada-based Environmental Defense group which have tested 49 different makeup items.  Even 49 different items were tested like 5 foundations,  4 concealers, 4 powders, 5 blushes or bronzers, 7 mascaras, 2 eyeliners, 14 eye shadows, 8 lipsticks or glosses

According to the researchers, lots of serious heavy metals were found in the products. The results from the tested products are: 96% contained lead, 90% contained beryllium and 61% contained thallium. They also found that 51% contained cadmium while 20% contained arsenic.

What is really scary is that a large number of the product have even four out of the eight listed metals for testing, and the really bad news are that almost every product has two out of four metals like arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury.

If you not know, these metals are listed as toxic and their presence can cause many health problems.

A few years ago FDA has published a list of 400 hundred different lipsticks with a trace of lead in the content.  According to the experts, the levels were low so it was not so serious and unsafety.  According to Dr. Mark Mitchell, who is also a co-chairman of the Environmental Health Task Force for the National Medical Association, there is no place for panic, because for example the lead in the body which has to builds up with the year, a lipstick cannot represent serious and important exposure.

Exposure To Heavy Metals Can Increase Your Cancer Risk

Canadian research studies have shown that 51% of the products tested contained cadmium. Cadmium is a known carcinogenic material. In lab trial, it has been used as cancer cells for multiplying.

Maybe good news maybe not but it is worth to be mentioned that these metals builds up in the body but not causing healthy concern immediately but with time they can develop some serious health issues. Many health problems can be triggered with this chemical like the increased risk of cancer, or reproductive disorder and so on.
