Warning: Avoid Heinz Ketchup Like The Plague, Here’s 3 Research Backed Reasons Why

People are now informed about the fact that all processes food is abundant in chemicals and toxins. They know that consuming organic food is healthier and it is a healthier to prepare your own food at home using only organic and fresh ingredients. And there are many choices that do not take much time to prepare and they are actually very easy and simple – such as ketchup, dressings, sauces and mustard.

Ketchup is loved by everyone, no matter if you are a vegan or a meat lover, you will still enjoy consuming ketchup and it can be added as a topping or a dip combined with numerous meals. I discovered some shocking information while I was researching about high fructose corn syrup.

I will explain that discovery a little bit later, but most important is to tell you that you must read and indeed understand all the names of the ingredients in Heinz ketchup. When you take a look, it looks normal with just a unclear ingredients, but if you analyze them deeper you will discover that it is actually highly toxic and dangerous if you consume it on a regular basis, not just an unhealthy product.

These are the ingredients that are contained in Heinz ketchup:

There are some rules what and how the ingredients are put on the labels, and they are listed starting with the one that is in highest amount in the product to the least present, which tells us that the ketchup contains the most tomato concentrate from red ripe tomatoes, the second is the distilled vinegar, the next one is the high fructose syrup and others.

The Heinz ketchup has a small percent of natural flavorings and onion powder. Now that you know what is contained in the most popular ketchup that is used in every fast food and every restaurant in America and other countries.

These are all the contained ingredients:

  • Tomato Concentrate
  • Distilled Vinegar
  • High Fructose Corn Syrup
  • Corn Syrup
  • Natural Flavor, Spice, Salt, Onion Powder, etc.

With this label Heinz is deceiving its customers by writing the same ingredient twice under different name leading them to believe that it in fact a healthy product. Do you know which two ingredients are the same? Corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup are actually one ingredient but labeled two times, and it is all high fructose corn syrup, and there are two reasons why they are doing this trick to lead us to think that it contains more ingredients.

The first reason is to deceive the customers which usually consider the corn syrup to be a healthier ingredient compared to high fructose corn syrup, and that is why they have written them separately. This may mislead you to believe that they are two different ingredients, which are not, and the second reason is probably due to the fact that most people know that the ingredients are listed according to their amount in the product and the first ingredient is the most contained. And if we changed the label and throw out corn syrup, and write it just as high fructose corn syrup it will be the first on the list.

This is what the label would look like:

  • High Fructose Corn Syrup
  • Tomato Concentrate
  • Distilled Vinegar
  • Spices, Salt, etc.

And this will not look good! This will put in question their liability and people will know that they are not buying real tomato based ketchup but a product full with corn syrup from GMO corn. This is just about the one ingredient of this product, but sadly there is more.

This is a very concerning problem. The producers are trying to trick their customers. The second problem is the second listed ingredient – distilled vinegar which is actually produced also from genetically modified corn.

So in this ketchup product there are already three ingredients that are corn based – the distilled vinegar, corn syrup and high fructose corn, but this is not the end of it.

The following ingredients proceed to natural flavoring, onion powder, spice and salt. The type of salt which is used is the cheapest one and it can lead to mineral imbalances (increased sodium in the blood), toxicity in the body and high blood pressure and it can also be the cause for many other health problems if it is eaten often.

Other ingredient is natural flavoring but do we know what that is? We can only guess. And you can see that Heinz ketchup contains no protein or fiber but it contains sugar and sodium. Where did the sugar came from? Maybe from the unexplained natural flavor ingredient.

You can also notice that just one tablespoon is 7% of the recommended daily sugar amount so every tablespoon of sugar that you take augments the sodium daily value for 7% so you need to count …7 – 14 – 21 – 28 and so on. And this increases more and more as you continue to increase the sodium intake with just one product and what about the other food that you combine it with.

There are numerous good reasons why you immediately need to stop consuming Heinz ketchup in order to protect your health, but I will explain only three top why Heinz ketchup is not healthy and it is actually damaging to your overall health.

  1. High Fructose Corn Syrup – the Heinz ketchup is full with the high fructose corn syrup, and it would be the ingredient that is most contained in this ketchup if they have not used a trick to deceive the customers and write the same ingredient as two different ingredients and with two different names. This ingredient is very toxic and unhealthy. When it gets in the body it is dissolved into sugar, and it has toxic chemical because it is obtained from genetically modified corn. It has the effect of damaging your liver and also increases the blood sugar level. It is also responsible for development of many diseases like weaker immune system, diabetes, heart disease and obesity. You might be aware of this, but the most concerning discovery is when I saw what Dr. Mark Hyman wrote on his website. In his note he explained an experience of one FDA researched who asked the producers of corn to give her one barrel of high fructose corn syrup for her t perform some tests, but their denied her request besides the fact that she demanded this several times. In the end, she contacted them as a new beverage company and demanded a barrel of the syrup. She succeeded in this. Then she did some testing on the high fructose syrup and discovered that it was full with Mercury – which is a very toxic heavy metal. And this was stated by an FDA researcher. Mercury has plenty negative effects on human health such as causing autism, damaging the nervous system and the brain and it is highly dangerous for children. So I advise you to stop using the Heinz ketchup and other products that have high fructose corn syrup.

I must repeat one more time that Heinz made a choice to do a trick by labeling the same ingredient – high fructose corn syrup, as two different ingredients. And this means that their ketchup contain a much higher amount of the high fructose corn syrup – also having a higher amount of mercury contained in their ‘healthy’ product.

The high fructose corn syrup is not the only one that has toxic ingredients, but also the other genetically modified foods contain them, and it is a poisonous and toxic sweetener and a GMO food.

  1. Distilled sugar and vinegar – Heinz ketchup is also made with distilled vinegar and it is labeled to have 4 grams of sugar in one serving which is actually one tablespoon. This ingredient is obtained from GMO – corn which has many chemicals and toxic pesticides. Consuming this is actually very harmful for the health. They also labeled ‘natural flavors’ and it says to contain 4 grams of sugar. This is a freighting discovery that besides the enormous amount of high fructose corn syrup, it also contains additional amount of sugar in it – written as ‘natural flavors’. This type of sugar is from GMO sources. And besides ingesting the dangerous high fructose corn syrup from it, which is harmful for the brain, nervous system, immune system, metabolism, liver and pancreas, they also had to put and additional sugar, gmo’s and many chemical to make it a highly dangerous and harmful mixture.

The high amount of sugar and no fiber can actually cause increased levels of blood sugar and put an extra burden on your liver and pancreas.

  1. Heinz ketchup has no nutrition – this ketchup does not contain any nutrition, any protein or any fiber in its content. The extremely small amount of ‘tomato paste’ contains little cooked lycopene and that cannot even be transported to your blood. So Heinz ketchup only contains unhealthy and toxic things from harmful sugar to genetically modified ingredients. It has a lack of the essential nutrients and is rich in chemicals, sugar and GMO’s and also the highly toxic heavy metal – mercury.

So in order to protect your health and the health of your entire family, do not buy this dangerous ketchup and turn to a much healthier option to organic one that has no GMO’s. Or the best option is to prepare your own homemade healthy ketchup, which does not take much time.
